Enabling Find My Firefox Device

There is an interesting option in Firefox OS based Mobile device which is running Firefox OS 2.0+. We can find our device where ever it is present if it theft. We have some simple steps to enable this option in our Mobile devices.

https://www.flickr.com/photos/95790166@N06/16890119942/The first step is to Enable Geolocation. When Geolocation is enabled, then it has the ability to get the coordinates like latitude and longitude and find our device in Maps. So we can easily find where our device is.

Then the Next step is to create a Firefox Accounts. Creating Firefox Accounts is very easier and it is very simple too. We have also Previously discussed how to create Firefox Accounts in Firefox OS. The main reason for creating the Firefox accounts is to find our device from Online, we have seen lot of benefits about Firefox accounts like Sync of bookmarks from system based browser to Mobile browser.

After Signing up to Firefox Accounts We can easily Enable the Find my Device option. If you have not enabled Firefox Accounts you will can also do when you go inside settings.

Once if you have done with creating the accounts, the next step is to either enable or disable the option.

  • You can lock it with a passcode from browser itself.
